WHAT TO EXPECT

We start the day off meeting you at a prearranged location in Canmore at 10:30am. Here we explain the days' activities and latest weather conditions. We ensure that you have everything you need to be comfortable for the day and read and sign the necessary waivers and medical questionnaires.

From there we head up the Spray Lakes road in convoy to our training area for the day, parking near the Sparrowhawk pull off. From here we get geared up and head down to the lake, either by skis, snowboard or walking depending on the conditions. We are usually at our warm up hut at around 11:30. A quick but comprehensive safety briefing and then we get on with the kiting lesson.

During the lesson we provide all kites and harnesses for students to use. We'll take periodic breaks in our warm up hut and provide hot non alcoholic beverages such as tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

Once finished for the day (around 3 or 3:30) we fill out IKO certification cards and head back to the vehicles. The drive back to town should get you back to Canmore around 4-4:30.
