SNOWKITE LEVEL ONE
Our intro to snowkiting course focuses on teaching you everything you need to safely launch, fly and land a kite.
We start by teaching you about safe site selection and safe conditions to kite including wind and ice checks, preparation and set up. After covering the concept of the wind window we'll familiarize ourselves with all the safety features / releases of the kites.
After that we proceed to launching, landing and flying the kite. We start you with small trainer kites (from 2- 5m) in size and work closely one on one with you to make sure you get comfortable flying a power kite. As you become more confident we'll introduce slightly more powerful kites and then teach you how to ride harnessed in (connected to) the kite.
Once these skills are learned you're ready to step into your bindings and experience the magic of snowkiting. The bliss of gliding across the snow with a kite and harness, powered by mother nature herself.
During this part of the course we keep close contact with you and are never far away should you need assistance. We'll finish the day teaching you how to pack up the kite discussing kite care and maintenance.
Congratulations, the IKO Certification Card we'll issue you marks your entry into the sport of snowkiting and will eventually grant you access to benefits the world over. You're surely going to be stoked by now, so we'll see you for Snowkite Level Two!
